There’s been a lot of talk recently about Hosier Lane possibly getting some CCTV camera’s installed to “protect” some of the artwork on display in the lane. While I think its a shit idea, I’m not too fussed about the whole situation, graffiti and street art lived way before the introduction of commission lane ways and there’s plenty of other possible laneways to work with, like Union Lane for one. And if the government still doesn’t want to acknowledge the strength this community has on tourism and what not, then fuck ‘em, we will eat cake.
